Long Island Society of Otolaryngology was appropriately started in about 1955 as the population of Long Island started to grow.

Thanks to several pioneers, by 1980 the organization was strong. The society celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1980 under the leadership of then president Dr.Kenneth Mattucci.

Over the years organization has continued to grow. Here are some glimpses from 1980.
